The project locates in Chuntai Village, Youai Town, Pidu District, Chengdu, and belongs to the scope of Pidu District applying for World Agricultural Heritage. In 2018, when the design team visited the site for the first time, it was shocked by the crisscross ditches and the intertwined texture of the land. The project fully relies on the surrounding 165 acres of forest fields in Chengdu. In terms of the rural texture with crisscross ditches, the environment is embedded in the health care apartment project to serve the energetic elderly. 

The new concept of "natural healing" is embodied in combination with the surrounding fields and seedlings. This is an innovative attempt to combine the natural environment of Chengdu's forest fields with the healthy living space. "Chuntaiyue Countryside Reception Hall" is the pastoral experience center of Chuntaiyue Health Care Apartment Project. The word "Chuntai" comes from the "Twenty Chapters of Lao Zi moral ": "If people are happy, they will feel like stepping on the Chuntai.", Its meaning is "the place where you can see things in spring". So how to embody the pastoral health care in the experience center in this pastoral health care community and how to realize the dialogue between architecture and countryside are the starting points of our design.
