Passionate wine importer and his friend want to open a wine bar & bistro in trendy area ,Chungdam in Seoul. Bar atmosphere needs to have comfort privacy and openness with a modern interpretation. How to make functional private area within a public space in a certain level is the key of this project. By creating architectural semi boundary is the main element of this design. In order to do that, we let floor fluctuated to create a polygonal ripple to create dimple like nest. From the result, we create different level of seating area and serving passages architecturally. Using hardwood decking and matching floor pattern is camouflaged furniture in the space for subtlety. Customers could take a rest in a cozy sunken area; nest. All the table can be put together like a puzzle for the big group or separated for small group. For matching with this elevated or sunken space with ceiling JtKLab designed robust chandelier. Height and shape of lighting can be changeable through pulling length of wires. Gravity create dramatic lighting structure with wires.
