Under the theme of "making a food stall," eight sliding doors are completely stored behind the wall during normal business hours, and a food stall with chromate plating protrudes from the building. It is directing what is the called ramen, Chinese noodles, stall shop. The original pendant lights are hung like a lantern with a bare light bulb as if it is a very food stall, and warmly illuminating the guests gathering under the roof.

The food stalls I propose in this area where the weather can be rough are stored in a compact building in bad weather. In addition, huge lanterns with a height of 3750 mm and a diameter of 800 mm rise on both sides of the building so that they will be eye-catching from the roadside, and you will notice even if you drive a car from a distance. A plan for a 20-seat ramen, Chinese noodles, stall shop on about 992 ㎡ site. The challenge was to design it would be easily visible from cars and memorable.

So, we surrounded the building with a large ash tree and designed two huge lantern signs against the prefectural road to make passersby aware of the food stalls. The exterior walls and roof of the small 41 ㎡ building were finished with low-cost galvanized sheet iron like a storage shed. And the artist used an electric burner to create rust and holes in the roof, which were then covered with chromate plating to create a distinctive façade.

The architecture is based on the theme of a food stall, and the covered counter seats made of chromate and bamboo are movable, and the sash is opened to the outside when the stall is open for business. When business hours, the sash is opened and protrudes to the outside, making it more visible and welcoming people to enter.

Both the outer and inner walls are covered with damaged and aged corrugated metals as like as vintage jeans, and chromate plating is peeking over the teared galvanized sheet iron. At first glance, the food stall looks like it has been there for a long time, but also modern finished. Reflecting that intention in the furniture, the familiar shape and seating surface of the round chair of the food stall is sublimated into an original design with carved teak and chromate plating legs.

The counter is made of laminated lumber from bamboo and counter base is covered with mortar. While following the image of the food stall, we designed it unique to this area.

While having a nostalgic and familiar impression, Chinese noodles or Ramen is unique to this area is a space that you can only experience here. It will be loved for a long time by both residents and visitors for this purpose.
