This restaurant called Café Song is located in Shangri-La Hotel Harbin, and it is located in a city called Harbin. The area of the restaurant is about 730 square meters, and there are about 200 seats. This project was completed on January 10th 2017. The client was Shangri-La hotel Harbin. The client first requested us to design all day dining restaurant, warm and welcoming place. The city is situated in the northern area of China where it grew under large Russian influence. Because of unique geographical position, the unique culture in this city was formed by fusing two different cultures. They have interesting mix of food, architectures, and customs with a reference to oriental and western. it is also known as a snow city, making spectacular scenery during the winter.This interior approaches to design in an experimental way. Expressing this mixed cultural city by using bold choices of different patterns and materials, this space was created to be like an art installation space. Guests can feel the snowy city with full of art while dining. In the same fashion how the city was established, this restaurant shows different cultures existing harmoniously under the splendid white snow.
