Boston ¬Art, a group of professional art experts who assist clients with programming, selecting, and installing art for a wide variety of environments, recently moved into its new 627-square-meter office space in the Innovation and Design Building in Boston, Massachusetts. Boston Art’s former space was broken up into small offices with inadequate lighting and very little room for daily working needs. The new office’s open, raw industrial feel, high ceilings, and prime location overlooking Boston Harbor near other creative professionals offers an optimal space for clients to view art, for staff to work with clients, and to store the company’s large collection of art. The glass wall entry and frameless front door are set on a corner to maximize a sense of depth and allow an unobstructed view deep into the new workspace. The reception area is a white-walled gallery of art around a clean-lined reception desk. A seating lounge past the reception desk contains striking sculptural furniture and doubles as an informal meeting space. Behind are a conference room and the large gallery, the central element at the heart of the office, featuring floating, moveable partial walls and an exposed storage wall behind a long work surface for hands-on work. Glass-fronted offices are located behind. Open to the gallery is the kitchen, where a palette of whites and soft grays create an elegant gathering spot for client entertaining, social events, and daily staff use.
