Bong Bong Plastic Surgery is a hospital that designs the most beautiful parts of women. ‘Bong Bong’ means a peak, which is a metaphorical representation of a woman's breasts. We eliminated the hidden meaning that should be unrevealed in the design and made the space visible to the client directly through the curved space. It is focused on creating a space for comfortable counseling and procedures so that women can shake off their concerns between their desire to be beautiful on their own and their fear of surgery. The key to the design that we were trying to do in this space is ‘Rhyme and Association’. We created an invisible echo that represents the repeated cadence of the word ‘Bong Bong’. And the overlapping layers of arches that shows the wavelength of sound naturally made a curved space. Through this association, the characteristics and beauty of the female body that curves are emphasized are expressed in the space. There is the ambiguous boundary between natural light and artificial lighting, which represents a warm space hugging each other through harmony and supplementation, rather than confrontation between nature that created the original human being and humans who strive endlessly to look more beautiful. The components of the space were also adapted to the overall curved space design with the sofa and information, the decorative design elements of the wall and the separated patterns of the floor, the comfortable sofa in the powder room and even the fancy chandelier have a curved soft shape. Therefore we considered the design of the space from the customer's perspective, so rather than giving them the cold and frightening feeling of surgery and hospital, customers can get the belief that doctors would make them beautiful like sculptors who create beauty.
