SIDE CORE

BnA_WALL is the fourth hotel from the BnA team, as an on-going cultural-economic experiment to find alternative means to create sustainable and thriving art communities. Opened in April 2021, BnA_WALL BnA_WALL is Tokyo's newest creative epicenter with an art hotel, artist studio, and cafe/bar/lounge under one roof. Whether you're staying in an artist designed rooms, or enjoying music and conversations with fellow creatives, trust us when we say you will leave this place inspired. Like all hotels which it share’s its BnA name, BnA_WALL operates using the “stay in an art room, become a patron” model, where a percentage of every booking fee is shared with local artists responsible for creating that art rooms. Each of the 26 one-of-a-kind art rooms designed by 14 local artists as a permanent art installation. The BnA architectural and interior design team spent over 2 years meticulously work with each artist, allowing them to fully manipulate the rooms from the shape of the room, floor, walls, ceilings, lighting, and even furniture to bring their vision into reality. BnA_WALL is virtually undetectable from the outside, as intended by the BnA team, because the hotel was built by renovating an old office building of a Kimono Manufacturer, and the exterior was unchanged. Not only was the goal to make the hotel a “secret hideout” for the creative community, but also to find an alternative to the “scratch and build” method that is the norm in Tokyo.
