Branch of an established gourmet cupcake store cum cafe in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 250sq ft located at high pedestrian traffic corner of a light rail entrance. The Box Interior Architecture (M) Sdn Bhd www.thebox.com.my was tasked to create a strong impression of this cafe. Attractive pastel colour was selected to align with young & affluence inner city patrons. Splash of highlight colours applied in artistic manner to reflect its owner’s creative decorative approach to its cupcakes and special requested cakes. Colours also help to lighten up this mini outlet at the corner. Nooks seating was created to allow sit-in customer to have privacy from its busy passageway with instagramable backdrop. All in all, small in space but posses challenges to maximise space utilisation and functionality.
