This case is a vacation villa located in Beijing, for a family of three and their pets. The design is inspired by nature, which is "the way it originally appears". Nature is where we come from. With minimal design intervention, the space is created to be minimalist and void, yet it captures the essence of the natural world. Breaking away from the traditional concept of a unified main color, each floor displays different hues found in nature, restoring the colors of classical Chinese aesthetics.

The vertical space spans five floors. Among the five floors, only the bathroom and daughter's bedroom have doors, while other spaces are open and connected. Using micro-cement custom-mixed colors, each of the five open spaces has its own color and function.

The third floor is the master bedroom for the couple and is also the place where the sun first shines in the house. The entire roof's three-dimensional soft film light will automatically turn on according to the set wake-up time, simulating the sunrise by slowly turning from dark to golden yellow, blending with the natural light from the skylight, starting the day beautifully.
The second floor is the daughter's living and study space. Based on the daughter's color preferences, this layer is designed with the gradation color of the sunset's afterglow. The colors range from the purest orange for the main bedroom wardrobe to the orange-pink bathroom, spreading to the light pink of other areas.

The daughter enjoys painting with watercolors, and the bathroom's shower wall uses watercolor brushstroke-inspired orange-pink gradient ceramic tiles, complemented by a long strip drain and an orange-pink micro-cement floor and walls. The study area has a semi-enclosed wall with an L-shaped cut at the corner, and sitting at the 3.5-meter-long suspended study desk, the view just reaches through the opening to the public area, which also provides a flat space for the pet, who likes to climb. The east side wall of the study area is a full-length lacquered glass whiteboard for writing, calculations, and discussions, with a white steel plate suspended bookshelf and reading space alongside. Between the study area and the bedroom is a tatami area where lying on the soft white linen cushions, one can admire the gradation pink artistic wall tiles. The tatami also features storage capabilities.

The first floor is the living room and dining room for the entire family. Professional baking equipment is placed in the open kitchen area, and in front of a large area of pure white appliance wall is a custom-made pure copper-colored island, which also has a texture when focusing on hand-kneading dough. In addition to the overall micro-cement, the kitchen and bathroom areas are custom-made with terrazzo containing seaside shells, recycling the colorful seashells within the main materials, creating a material cycle in the name of natural regeneration for sustainable beauty.
