Beef coin is a grill bar, whose kitchen based on meat and hand-crafted liqueurs. Following the concept of the project we developed interior inspired by the brutal atmosphere of a steakhouse located inside industrial workshop space.

Simplicity of the interior is supported by two main materials used in the project - concrete and metal. Using colorblocking makes the space contrast: cold gray base is blended with bright terracotta accents - lamps, metal wall, table bases and other elements.

Metal pipes as appreciation of industrialism, a bar counter made of concrete blocks, leather sofas combined with wooden interior elements create the atmosphere of a spectacular modern pub.
The bar is located in the residential area with low amount of restaurants, so the main task set by the owner was to create a functional project that is enough spectacular to attract both the locals and residents from other city districts on one hand, and cozy and casual to be suitable for regular, everyday evenings on the other hand. The color blocking technique makes the space contrast and bright: cold gray base is blended with bright terracotta accents - lamps, metal wall, underframes and other elements. Simplicity of the interior is supported by two main materials used in the project - concrete and metal.

Developing the project, we cared about its sustainability. We used enduring, durable materials that ensure the life of the interior, such as: concrete on the walls, a large amount of metal, a special noise-reducing coating on the floor, the looks like metal sheets. Moreover, recycled items were used – the concrete blocks were initially found, then cleaned, reshaped and used as quite interesting decorative construction of the bar counter. Some wood elements were also made of reused timber.

The innovation and creativity of the project can be traced by special LEFTdesign approach to interpretation of the standard pub. As usually done in our projects we tend to add our own feelings and view to well-known concepts. Metal pipes are our appreciation of industrialism and typical characteristics of brutalism, however being colored in terracotta they balance the “severe” interior and make the bar bright and attractive not only for men enjoying beer and football matches but for women seeking for new bold experience as well.

Beef Coin is located close to industrial area of the city with quite a few factories nearby. A Factory was part of our inspiration and we decided to create industrial manufactory: rough textured and burnt wood tables are designer’s interpretation of workbench whereas umbrella-shaped lighting above the tables remind of hoods. Despite recalling industrial item umbrella-shape lighting was chosen as well to provide the guests sense of coziness – rays of light in dark space “enveloped” people from above granting comfort and protection.
