Colourful, playful interventions enliven the concrete framework of the building, which is located on Barcelona’s Paseo de Gracia. The club-inspired design honours the creative spirit of the city, with spatial references to its relationship with art, design and music.
Masquespacio embraced the interior’s industrial nature, brutalist style and imperfections in carving out spaces for the membership-based mobility brand. Many of the spaces are unconventional for a car showroom, like a co-working area in a faux (unfilled) swimming pool and a dedicated area for sustainable fashion brands. A massive reflective green ‘castle’ stands at the entrance, housing fitting rooms for visitors to try on pieces the Lynk & Co-curated pieces.
As with the company’s other locations, the space only displays one car, housed under a bright blue structure modelled after a whale’s form. Vibrant line lights in geometric arrangements lend the interior a fresh, convivial feel. What Lynk & Co uniquely succeeds in is the commission of spaces that are simultaneously approachable, fun and multi-use, speaking to consumers who make their choices based on values rather than product alone.
