This window display design was inspired by the origins of clothing, where vivid colors and shapes emerge through the processes of dyeing and weaving of yarns. Ginza 4-chome Crossing, where Wako's show-windows are located, is one of the most famous spots in Tokyo, along with the scramble crossing in Shibuya, which is also famous overseas. Taking advantage of the characteristics of such a place that many people visit again and again, we created a window display in which the pure white threads stretching in a radial pattern are dyed colorful and keep changing their expressions throughout the month and a half of the exhibition. During the exhibition period, the clothes on display were changed every week to correspond with the ever-changing window display design. The dyeing method used is the "capillary action" where the tip of a pure white thread is dipped in dye and absorbed. By dipping the thread that leads to the back of the wall into the dye, the thread changes to yellow and red over the course of a day. The yarn has a four-layered structure, and each time it was dyed, the visual effect created by the overlapping colors also changed.
