The installation aimed at featuring the SS18 women's shoe and bag collections designed by Pierre Hardy for Hermès to the press during the last women's Paris fashion week. Mathias Kiss had carte blanche to create what ever he liked. This installation occupied 4 rooms and a corridor of an appartment. Two rooms were dedicated to women’s shoe collections. In the first one, the ground was covered with a blue tarp that represents a “pool”. Mirror plates fixed at the foot of the displays created unfinite water effect. Mirrors also covered a sculpture imitating a diving board. A grooving work and white paint applied on the wooden panels and displays reminded tiling patterns. Some niches symbolised open windows on the outside. Their background was painted in an orange sky landscape. The decor of the second women's room extended the first one without the pool. On the other side of the corridor, a room was dedicated to men’s shoe collections. In the middle of the room, a display imitated an aboveground pool. The water surface was created thanks to a mirror plate. The fourth room featured bags in arches inspired by thermal baths architecture. A classical style bench laid in front of a mirror wall. A synthetic turf covered the floors of the corridor as well as the men’s et bags areas. Down the hall, a lifeguard chair was displayed.
