With the inspiring brief, the concept and design are frameless.
Started from re-defining the zonings of the apartment, the original layout has been opened up. The feature dining Area and the lounge with balcony are the first chamber which work with the glazed Kitchen for the feast and drinks. The next chamber behind the structural core wall is the AV room for party and movies. A small bedroom and walk-in closet are discretely at the back. Two bathrooms in spa style are hidden next to them.
Concept as well as the major texture was initiated by the unique character of vacation house at the mountain of Northern Europe. The timber material is applied entirely in the interior from ceiling to wall to floor. With different widths and varies lengths of the planks, the random-ness imitates the natural texture of woods. This single material interior blurs the edges of different surfaces of the space yet bringing a strong character. The strips pattern on floor and ceiling mirrors to each other.
As a subtle highlight, all trims and door handles are in matt black metal. Whilst all loose furniture is also in timber or with timber legs and frames. These simple but sophisticated details echo with the concept and also enhance the taste.
Another essential space is the bathroom. Its spa style in monolithic marble finish has a pure yet calm atmosphere. A big rounded mirror characterizes the space. It is a breakout space as well as the hidden spa for owner and guests.
