Spanning 2,159 square meters, the project crafts an immersive space where ancient Greek athletic heritage converges with modern sports culture. With seamless scene transitions across sporting events, retail, and social interaction, it offers a unique experience of the Olympic spirit beyond time and space.
Innovation:
At its core, the project fosters a dialogue between ancient and modern sporting civilizations, pioneering a hybrid space that integrates sports retail with an immersive athletic experience. The sculptural facade sets the stage for a cross-temporal encounter, while light-toned marbles and an arched colonnade recall the grandeur of the Roman Colosseum. The design challenges conventional retail models, incorporating modular display fixtures, dynamic LED lighting, and mobile installations to allow fluid transitions between sporting events and retail, redefining the possibilities of sports retail.
Functionality:
The project integrates retail with sports culture. The ground floor retains the mall’s basketball court, enhanced with a retractable perimeter system that seamlessly adapts for games, events, or retail experiences. The second floor features product displays, fitting rooms, shower facilities, and athlete preparation area, enriching user experience. Showcase areas for ANTA SNEAKERVERSE and ANTA GUANJUN feature an iconic black palette and a snow mountain installation respectively, engaging diverse consumers. A circulation route anchored by a symbolic Olympic flame installation, paired with weathered stone textures and an illuminated wayfinding system, balances immersive storytelling with commercial efficiency.
Creativity:
Guided by the theme of “folded time and space,” the design reinterprets classical motifs into a contemporary spatial language. In the SNEAKERVERSE zone, a bold “breaking-the-frame” logo installation symbolizes the rebellious ethos of fashion culture, with distorted classical frames set against a black palette to create striking visual contrast. In the central atrium, olive wreath motifs and an LED scoreboard connect ancient and modern athletic civilizations through an evocative interplay of light and shadow. The GUANJUN area, inspired by the golden glow of sunlit mountain peaks, transforms natural ridgelines into a sculptural ceiling, complemented by a dynamic ripple-like installation—symbolizing the pursuit of athletic excellence and the harmony between city and nature.
Eco-social impact:
More than a retail space, the project nurtures urban sports culture. By opening its arena to sports competitions and community events, it promotes public engagement in fitness and fosters community connection. The display design juxtaposes ancient and modern athletic influences with Olympic ideals, deepening public appreciation for sport culture. Additionally, the design promotes sustainability through modular systems and recyclable materials, minimizing resource waste and conveying the brand’s commitment to green operations.
