“Identification of the garden and architecture” It was planned as a 70th anniversary project of the metalworking machine manufacturer. It is a complex consisting of an exhibition facility that traces the history of the company since its founding, and a reception facility that provides Japanese hospitality to guests in Japan and abroad. Isehara, the site of this project in Japan, is located at the foot of Mt. Oyama and are blessed with its forest network and groundwater. To take advantage of the potential of this place, we planned a building where the garden and the architecture are united, conveying the corporate identity. The three areas of entrance, exhibition, and reception are placed to surround water garden and are covered with a single-connection tile roof, and the building was designed to meet a variety of spaces. Various semi-external spaces peculiar to Japan, such as open veranda "Nureen"and small light gardens "Tsuboniwa", were insert under the roof, and the space structure was aimed that inside, semi-outside and outside spaces were integrated into the water and green. The interior materials were harmonized with the surrounding trees and used natural materials that change beautifully over time, such as wood, stone, iron, and paint walls, under the large roof of the bush tiles.
