An airport lounge is an interspace. An area where quietness and leisure can be enjoyed between the hectic airport goings-on and the actual boarding of the airplane. One distinctive feature of the Airport Lounge Innsbruck is that it is purposely designed for being a living space of utmost comfort, so that the guests can easily feel at home. Urban, contemporary design and alpine crafts merge together in creating our architectural concept. Every traveller has individual necessities and requirements. Thus we have designed different areas for various uses and purposes in order to meet all the needs of the international guests. Three main design components were of great importance in creating a homely ambiance: pleasant and warm lighting, perfect room acoustics and the utilisation of materials that are pleasant to the touch. One has the possibility to concentrate on their work while being optically and acoustically shielded, just as easily as retreating, reading a book and allowing one's self to get inspired. While overlooking the mountain panorama as well as the occurrences on the runway, an invitation is extended to sit back and savour the moment. The lounge should hence provide the guests with a perfect start into a pleasant journey.
