A special place with a unique experience to spend my off-time and focus on me. A spacation in the heart of the city, my own Healing Island, AHC SPA With the goal of creating a new spa in the middle of a gray and foggy Dosan-daero intersection where anyone living their ordinary lives can come to rest, we started our design with the idea of a “healing island” found in the middle of a desert. Desert, water, cave, and forest are the main motifs of the storyboard The new space, visible past the desert-colored façade and the arched gateway (AHC’s new visual asset), is sure to pique your curiosity as if you’ve come across a mirage in the middle of a hot desert. As can be seen from the entryway, various plants and colored sand add to the exotic ambience as you approach the reception desk, which shines with a powerful light, as if you’ve encountered the sun. You have now arrived at the desert. Inspired by textures and shapes found in the desert, the walls are painted with a special paint that reminds you of the desert’s fine sand, and a curvaceous sofa, surrounded by desert plants, that embodies the gradual slopes of the languid sand dunes. As you pass the reception area, a water table can be seen displaying AHC’s top products. This water table is made of acrylic and has gone through extensive testing to recreate the motion of the waves as seen when the light meets the water, immersing you in this sparkly oasis. The biggest feature from this renewal is that we’ve moved away from our private services to a more comfortable spa experience with esthetic care (city spa) that’s available for anyone to enjoy. We’ve broken out of the closed rooms we previously had to allow the sunlight to pour in from the big window and allow for a more mentally comforting space. As you enter and follow along the acrylic louver and the softly lit curved walls, follow through to the end of the corridor and you will come upon the Signature Spa Room, your very own cave on Healing Island. AHC's high-end gym has been designed with an unpredictable and unique sense of luxury, finished with a deep, rich color that’s complemented with subtle, indirect lighting, curved walls, and a dome ceiling. After completing the spa, an oasis with flowing water that connects to the outdoors awaits your deeply relaxed body, followed by three arches that instill a sense of stability, which will lead you to the forest area on the terrace. Subtropical plants found in the desert, desert-colored bricks, sunlight that pours in and fills the archways, and the comforting sound of fresh water all transport you away from a busy day to an exotic vacation for an extraordinary and pleasurable experience. This spot is particularly special in that it is the first to reflect AHC’s newer and younger brand identity. AHC hopes to introduce a new spa culture specially designed for today’s modern lifestyle- a spacation in the middle of a desolate city, a “waterful desert” that awaits you.
