It’s a new mode of creating metal designs at Chemetal. Introducing Transparency, archetypal laser cut designs with a pop of color. Pleasing patterns, whether a nod to mid-century design motifs, classic linear shapes or biophilic curves are central to the collection of 9 new designs presented on 7 colorways.
Laser cut and powder coated on .062” and .09” aluminum sheets, Surface Mode: Transparency is a unique, durable and cost-effective way to divide spaces with a contemporary aesthetic.
Transparency is the newest addition to Surface Mode, Chemetal’s collection of metal designs on thicker aluminum, introduced in 2021. Transparency represents the continuum of these materials, this time laser cut with fun colors. How fun? Think Sea Foam, Saffron, Terracotta, Sky Blue, Indigo, Arctic White and Charcoal. The company is also offering these panels on clear brushed aluminum, with linear and wavy deeply brushed patterns for which Chemetal has long been known.
These panels are ready to play. Seriously.
Transparency Panels are ideals as dividers, ceiling panels, dimensional wall panels (with standoffs and a decorative panel backer). Besides standard 4’ x 8’ sheet size, Chemetal can adopt designs to other dimensions, bend edges and add tabs for securing with mechanical fasteners.
Easier to install, easier to recycle.
Surface Mode panels are thicker and can be installed without a supportive laminate backer, which makes installation, using mechanical fasteners or wall panel system, easier and more affordable. Plus, the panels are more easily repurposed, recycled or freecycled because they are 100 percent aluminum and not attached to a wood backer. Transparency Panels are powder coated, a process of electrostatically applying an inert, non-toxic, powder to sheets that are then heat cured. Powder coating produces virtually no VOCs and excess powder can be reused.
Additionally, Chemetal derives a large percentage of its energy (depending on season) from rooftop solar arrays consisting of nearly 1000 solar panels, using the power of the sun to make these metal panels.
