THRONE is inspired by the continuous gradations in the ceiling architecture of the Tomba Brion, a masterpiece by the great maverick of Italian architecture, Carlo Scarpa. The stool quotes the exciting architecture with 36 oiled, artfully composed, masterfully constructed ash cant woods. Topped by the hand-sewn seat cushion in durable, long-lasting melange fabric. During its life, the solid wood table develops a beautiful deep patina.

The THRONE series includes upholstered stools and side table. THRONE side table is iconic utilitarian art, imbued with creative furniture design, formal poetry and sensational composition. Light and shadow constantly remodel the sculptural geometry. Lively heartwood patterning elevates the inspiring table architecture to a one-of-a-kind level. THRONE enriches every interior genre, whether as a contemplative design oasis or modular furniture object. THRONE side table has design classic potential. Daniel Heilig translates the spectacular ceiling architecture of the Tomba Brion by Carlo Scarpa into THRONE.

The breathtaking furniture architecture animates every interior, as a multifaceted life companion and contemplative work of art. THRONE is available as a stool and side table. For THRONE, the designer deliberately chooses old ash wood with a strikingly dark brown core. The organic colour spectrum of natural ash and the precise gradations of the carcase architecture interact with light and shadow. This creates unique, magical patterns that always surprise and invite meditative contemplation.

THRONE is created in manual carpentry style in the artist's workshop. Thirty-six vividly grained squared timbers made of hand-oiled ash wood are skilfully joined together, the creative levels additively layered and artfully superimposed. The ash wood selected by the artist comes from sustainable German forestry and develops a charming, warm patina over time. The high-quality upholstery fabric is woven in Italy from eco-certified artificial yarn in green, red or anthracite melange and hand-sewn in a small German upholstery workshop.
