Sustainability :
Tarkett Lino Originale delivers the lowest carbon footprint in its category throughout its lifecycle (EPD N°4789356590.101.1 refering to Tarkett Lino Originale Essenza+ 2,5 mm).
•Tarkett Lino Originale is a bio-based product, made from natural (94%) and renewable (76%) ingredients (linseed oil, pine resin, wood, cork flour and jute). By carefully selecting pigments, it is Cradle to Cradle Certified® Gold (a first in its market).
•Tarkett Lino Originale (as well as the entire Tarkett Lino range) is fully recyclable post-use – an industry first. Our R&D teams developed a method of separating the backing from the Linoleum paste and optimizing the recycling of both material streams, with the linoleum paste being recycled into raw materials to be used in the production of new Tarkett Lino flooring.
•Closing the loop on linoleum waste is an industry game changer. Tarkett can achieve the post-use linoleum collection through Restart®, its take-back and recycling programme.
Each recycled square meter of old Linoleum saves 5.4kg of eq. CO2, a valuable contribution in Tarkett’s fight against climate change.
•Tarkett Lino is designed for improved indoor air quality, which helps protect people's health through ultralow VOC emissions (≤10µg/m3: 100 times lower than the most stringent industry requirements), and is Allergy UK approved.
•The collection is sustainably produced at its plant in Narni (Italy), where Tarkett works continuously to reduce our environmental footprint: 100% renewable electricity, 100% recycled /recirculated industrial water (closed loop), rainwater collection, 34% self-produced energy.
