Strata is a collection of 8 indoor/outdoor woven rugs that seamlessly blend innovative design and sustainability, crafted entirely from recycled post-consumer plastic fibres in Spain and designed in collaboration with the English studio Wallace#Sewell.
Innovation

- Collaborative Design: Collaborating with Wallace#Sewell, a fashion textile studio with an approach built on craftsmanship and sustainability, is an innovative approach to infusing unique and artistic design elements into the rugs.

- Unique appearance and touch achieve with recycled materials: We use 100% recycled post-consumer plastic fibers to create the yarn. It has a very superior look and feel to any other product in the market.
- UV Treatment: The UV treatment of PET fibers ensures that the rugs can withstand outdoor use while retaining their vibrant colors.

Creativity
Under the motto “Archive of Earth Memories, the Strata collection is a testament to the tapestry of the Earth. This collection is a journey through time, taking us deep into the earth’s crust, through layers of sedimentary rock, through the earth’s history recorded in fossils and minerals.
Each of the 8 pieces takes inspiration from different landscapes of the planet to reproduce a pattern of colours and textile structure.

Sustainability
Rols, is the first certified B-Corp rug company in Europe and Strata collection follows our values. We use post-consumer plastic from recovered plastic bottles to create the fibers that then weave the rugs in the collection. Additionally, the entire manufacturing process takes place in Crevillent (Spain) where we use renewable energy to power the looms and also contribute to local craftsmanship and the economy.
It's a testament to the commitment to sustainability by repurposing plastic waste into functional and visually appealing products. The product meets standards for LEED (EQC 4.3) and BREEAM certified buildings.
