Meet Ri-Taglio, a circular modular wall panel system, made from a graphic layering of left- over CNC sheets. Ri-Taglio (which means ‘re-cut’ in Italian), shows how waste can be reimagined into artful and functional design.

Together with Fiction Factory, a creative manufacturer of interiors based in Amsterdam, we have experimented new ways to repurpose their CNC waste sheets, leftover production-and construction materials.

What we have learned by their team is that the 80% of the total waste from their production is wood. Of this percentage 40% comes from their CNC machinery so we had plenty of CNC sheets waste that we could re-purpose every day.

By pairing those CNC waste sheets into one single element, we unveil unexpected unique geometric patterns that are perfect for dividing spaces and adding a playful feeling to the environment.
