The minimalist Church of Light by architecture autodidact Tadao Andō inspired design autodidact Daniel Heilig to create the boldly conceived, radically reduced bench architecture OHUS. Crossed, interlocking steel legs join level in two Xs milled into the bench. Archaic materials, firmly connected by 8 concealed screws. 4 mm powder-coated steel for stability.

OHUS is the first furniture design by Daniel Heilig that can be easily assembled or disassembled, transported in only 3 individual parts or stored in a space-saving way. The intelligent design concept, the radical visual and formal independent composition, as well as the interplay of ash wood, steel and signal colour are pure innovation.

OHUS bench and OHUS stool stand on 4 mm thick manufactured steel legs with powder coating in salmon orange or brilliant blue. Other colours are available on request from the artist. The solid seat made of beautiful warm, vividly grained ash comes from sustainable German forestry. OHUS is ingeniously easy to assemble yourself: The steel legs are inserted crosswise into the milled X of the wooden plate underside. The wood and steel are sturdily screwed together using threads pre-assembled in the artist's workshop.
