[Development Background]
With growing interest in terrace seating due to lifestyle changes, demand increased for outdoor rechargeable lighting that could be used in places where a power source was unavailable. Although rechargeable table lights were already on the market, no one had yet developed a way to provide high-quality lighting outdoors. Recognizing this issue, we approached the problem with a sense of mission.

[Functionality]
We focused on a minimalist design that blends seamlessly into any space while incorporating highly convenient functionality, such as stepless dimming and a tri-directional rotary axis that allows the direction of the light to be freely adjusted. The handle and switches are located under a flap on top of the main body for easy detection and use. The main body also contains a tank that can be filled with water or sand to prevent the unit from toppling over in the wind if placed outdoors for long periods of time.

[Specifications]
We selected rechargeable batteries from Makita, a brand with a high market share in power tools and commercial vacuum cleaners, for their versatility and safety. As a result, we simultaneously realized specifications that allow for 36 hours of 100% lighting and a full-charge time of 40 minutes.
The LEDs use an outdoor package from Toki Corporation that provides beautifully contoured lighting without any unevenness.

• Dimensions: Width 180mm, Depth 200mm, Height 2000mm
• Weight: 9.0kg (including battery and filled water tank)
• Color Temperature: 3000K
• Beam Angle: 15°
• Dimming: Stepless dimming from 2% to 100%
• Total Luminous Flux: 200lm
• Color Rendering Index (CRI): Ra85
• Main Materials: Stainless steel, aluminum
• Power Source: Makita 18V lithium-ion battery BL1860B (sold separately)
• Lighting Time: 32 hours at 100% lighting
• Charging Time: 40 minutes (Using Makita genuine charger DC18RF)

[Environmental Considerations]
We worked to reduce the environmental impact associated with development by utilizing an existing LED package from Toki Corporation for the light source as well as existing products for the charger and tank. Corrugated cardboard, which has a high recycling rate in Japan of over 95%, was used for packaging. Additionally, we used uncolored materials and kept product labeling to a minimum by affixing paper-based seals.
