The new Eco-nomadic furniture series is inspired by the natural materials and culture of the nomadic people of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in China. SkinSofa is one of the most distinctive products in the series.

The innovation of SkinSofa lies in the use of natural materials with nomadic characteristics - yak leather and yak hair - to the extreme. One side is smooth yak leather, and the other side is yak hair fabric hand-woven by herdsmen. With a solid wood frame base made of white oak, a simple stacking and fixing form, it brings a natural and primitive atmosphere to the modern office environment, creating a unique and sustainable aesthetics. It reflects MATSU's global vision and pioneering spirit, as well as respect for the ecological and artistic value of the nomadic lifestyle.

SkinSofa is not heavy and difficult to manage. The left and right and back cushions of the sofa are connected by Velcro and leather side panels, which are flexible, easy to assemble and disassemble, and easy to clean and replace. The soft and comfortable sitting feeling, the intimate touch of the natural material surface texture, form a unique regional aesthetic atmosphere, as if being in the grassland, free and vital.

The core material source of SkinSofa is naturally raised yaks. They do not eat any artificial feed containing additives, nor do they use any grain feed produced by petroleum agriculture. They are naturally raised in the grassland. Their hooves will press the grass seeds into the soil instead of being blown away by the wind, avoiding grassland desertification and conducive to maintaining the diversity of the plateau ecology.

By using materials from Tibetan nomads, MATSU also aims to increase their income and help them maintain their lifestyle in the face of urbanization and global warming challenges. These materials are purchased directly from Tibetan nomadic tribes by MATSU at a price higher than the local market price. We protect herdsmen, herdsmen protect nature, forming a sustainable cycle ecology.
