Today’s hybrid workforce demands access to a flexible office space that conforms to their needs, and traditional, clunky cubicle farms and desks aligned in parallel rows aren’t going to cut it. Enter: Teknion’s Kiosk, a collection of freestanding modules that define work hubs and distribute collaborative tools across the office. Suitable for training, meeting, workspaces, or lounge areas, Kiosk resides in active, dynamic spaces and is fully prepared to support a fast-paced work environment.
Straddling categories of mobile and fixed, users have the flexibility to make, then deconstruct, a workspace on the fly, quickly and easily. Incorporating digital and analog tools, pin-up boards, and screens allows Kiosk to support remote equity and facilitate the sharing of ideas while capturing 100% participation, even from those on a virtual platform. This new product typography is purpose-built, offering a scalable framework that can cross between open floor plans and enclosed spaces. Not only does Kiosk promote change and movement, but its design gives power and autonomy to the user by allowing them to create and maneuver each element to their desired location.
“Kiosk allows users to divide an open workspace into multiple work hubs,” says Dennis Cheng, Senior Industrial Designer at Teknion. “The multiple configurations allow users to choose the best workstation for their needs. From Open Kiosk to Media and Media Chat, the options for Kiosk are diverse and flexible.”
Moveable and modular, Kiosk can create work hubs across the office, offering multiple configurations and functions that respond to different worker types and work demands:
-Media Kiosks support TVs and optional mounted cameras and provide storage for digital equipment.
-Media Chat Kiosks allow remote users to fully participate in gatherings. Remote users are visible on the TV, and Kiosk has cameras that move through the space allowing the users to view any activity in the room.
-Gallery Kiosks include two whiteboards that lift and drop onto a frame to provide an analog meeting experience. When not in use, the screens are stored in the open section of the Kiosk.
-Mudroom Kiosks provide coat and bag storage, and additional storage shelves.
-Servery Kiosks provide a shelf for refreshments, options for power and USB, and a cubby for keeping small items.
-Storage Kiosks provide open and closed storage.
-Recycle Kiosks provide three bins for recycling.
-Open Planter Kiosks provide open space division and add biophilia to a work setting. The bottom shelf is ideal for small furniture, accessories or potted plants.
-Open Felt Kiosks provide open space division and the warmth of felt hangers to a work setting.
Kiosks have a curated palette of Teknion finishes. Bases and end trims are offered in four neutral finishes and when combined with metal and laminate finishes can create a neutral backdrop or an accent piece to a layout.
