Jewelry collection: Exchange of identity between Waste and Gemstone

The Jewelry collection attempts to combine the concepts of waste and jewelry in order to emphasize the innovation and application of recycled materials. Utilizing recycled glass as gemstones, the design attempts to give new life and purpose to discarded everyday waste.

The inspiration for the Jewelry collection decorative mirror all started with a piece of broken glass emitting vibrant emerald green. Applying traditional gemstone cutting and setting techniques to the polishing and assembly of recycled glass, the entire design refract a gemstone-like luster from all different angles.

The Jewelry Collection adheres to sustainable principles, innovatively applying traditional gemstone cutting techniques and craftsmanship to widely used recycled glass, and the combination of new industrial technology and traditional craftsmanship may inspire discussions on the diverse applications of various recycled materials, turning more ordinary things into extraordinary new purposes.

On the aspect of product design: Returning decoration to the meaning of decoration itself is another layer of thinking that the designer wants to convey through the series. The simple geometric lines and fluid mechanical traces in the Art Deco style most directly demonstrate the beauty and comfort of vision, a splendor that can be felt without the need for elaborate expressions of meaning. Compared to those profound expressions of meaning, The Jewelry collection is a combination of Art Deco's non-traditional interpretation of art and the existence of jewelry as exquisite wealth itself, freeing us from the weight of art history and awakening the simplest joy and desire in us for decorative items: perhaps what we seek from decorations is surface-based gratification.

Mirror, regarded as a medium for self-examination, is positioned at the center as the “main gemstone” of Jewelry collection, expressing the message: the most precious thing is yourself, and the source of life and meaning for all decorations is also the user themselves.
