The Gemmy door handle combines the pure but bold forms of large mooring bollards with the fluid lines of the 50’s, particularly the Porsche 356 of this era.
Gemmy’s innovative technical solution allows us to eliminate the traditional rose, and combine base and body into a single smooth and streamlined form. The rose, thanks to its unique mechanical design, becomes a single component and serves as the connection between lever and door, integrating perfectly into the silhouette with a language that appears familiar. Gemmy’s shape transmits the sensation of softness, offering a tactile appeal to the hand. Its simple shape, consisting of a single element, makes it an easy item to clean in order to prevent the transmission of viruses and bacteria.
From conceptualization to production, Gemmy has been designed to minimize its environmental impact. It is made of zinc alloy that can be remelted and recycled several times without losing its original properties. Furthermore the production process involves reduced energy consumption and releases negligible emissions into the atmosphere.
The form is enhanced by its elegant finishes: white, chrome plated, satin chrome, satin nickel, bronze matt, dark bronze matt, black.
