Heallywood is a furniture design studio founded in Guangzhou, we try to conjure up big emotions with a minimum of local resources. Home is always regarded as a warm harbor for the people, where people can share their happy moment, as well as they can reveal their sorrow. But a house is not called as the HOME, until it has the tie with our memories, our emotions and our habits, which consist of unique rhythms for homes.
When step into our home area, every disguise should be dropped off, and we are ready to throw ourselves into this hug of our purest home then we can get charged again. Especially, the furniture in this house already has the connection with people and gives us the comfort and company, not just the common decoration to the space. As the furniture live with people, it may witness different moments and special stories happened in this house, even though some furniture is only designed in a very simple way. We can even take it as our "memories keeper", because everytime we touch it, feel it or lean on it，the furniture will record.

Inspired by the regularly seen emotions on people's faces when they return home, we collect and select the most relaxed silhouette model from human faces, with the combination of the simple figure of stool to give a birth to the lovely furniture called "Face stool”. Rather than designed by complex decoration and colors, "Face stool" is just created by rotation the silhouette around its own axis, which amazingly makes people can see the silhouette of people's face in every angle.
Everyone have their own silhouette, we would like to record the perfect moment of each people. Also we leave room for users to live with it and discover more possibilities in using it. Maybe it is your little reading table, when you light a lavender aromatic candle and start a casual reading journey at a late night. It can also be considered as a good meditation place for you on the early morning. Or become your kids' new game zone, and then the whole families are gathering here for fun games. It could sometimes turn to a delicious high tea table for your chit-chat moment with your friends.
The "Face stool" is always by your side with comfort and pleasure. In the individual silhouettes, it is possible to recognize their aesthetic. In Considered of the sense of touch as well as adding the aesthetic of nature, the “Face stool" is chosen the wood as its main material, with the wood patterns leaving a raw and simple style. Made of the wood in line with the standard of FSC certificates, it keeps focus on the friendly combination from the design concept to the environmental sustainability, but also leverages the material with the design and the function. The manufacturing process gathers both 3D printing and hand-crafting processes, which would mean exclusivity and added emotional value.
