"Driuwend driftwood" as much as "floating driftwood". Although my furniture creations are not made of driftwood, they create the impression that the wood is weightlessly floating in space. The material, the wooden logs cut from a cross-section of a tree trunk, are carefully separated, planed, and then reassembled in layers for eternity through loving carpentry work. Through extremely elaborate surface treatment and finishing, the wood applications obtain their silky, velvety surface, just like driftwood found exposed to the tides.
To emphasize the uniqueness of each individual wood piece, acrylic glass was deliberately chosen as the second component: the viewer thus focuses exclusively on the beauty of the wood, creating the feeling that the individual elements are floating. Depending on the incidence of light, an effect is created that is visible but still "invisible," highlighting the nature of the wood. The visible screw connections were deliberately chosen to create the impression that everything is interconnected.
Nothing has to stand alone; everything can be in combination, creating something beautiful and unique. All pieces produced are unique. The shelf will be customized to fit the structural conditions and will harmonize with the space.
