In a dynamic world, where changes are frequent, the role of the designer is significant and he is required to adapt products to the pace of change. The responsibility of the job has increased, and beyond the need to develop a product that is aesthetic, beautiful and desirable, it is necessary to find a solution to the changing situation.

Divide-It was born out of necessity. In the world of offices as well as in the world of domestic design, the precise, formal and traditional definition of space is no longer relevant. In today's world - a mix of uses takes place not only on the urban scale, but also on a much smaller scale. People work from cafes, from home, or share common workspaces.

The immediacy, the availability of the solution to create flexibility - all underwent a very big change. Divide-It allows movement. It makes it possible to divide work spaces and spaces in the home environment, to define non-binding spaces between work and kitchen, between semi-private and public home spaces. This is a product that if you have to characterize it in one word- dynamism.

It is mobile, lightweight, moves easily and allows to change location at any time the user decides. As a product, it allows absolute dynamism. Each unit is divided into 17/26 wings, with each wing moving on a 360-degree axis. Allows endless possibilities of division, transitions and diffusion. The user selects and controls with his own hands the passage of light and acoustics.

Locating materials that are suitable for the product parts (aluminum and mould painted polyurethane), allows the creation of a product that is easy to use and assemble and convenient to transport, thus contributing to its sustainability. This is in addition to the fact that the product itself is basically an element that allows double and triple use of space for a variety of uses.

As designers who are identified with minimalist design, and connected to the DNA of MDF ITALIA, it was important for us to pay close attention to the product being an aesthetic element in itself. The main design idea was to produce a passage from an opaque, quiet and uniform wall, almost invisible; Towards endless possibilities of unique geometric compositions.

As designers, we believe that a product that invites user intervention and operation is also a bit of a “toy”. We think it enables some play and even a smile.
