The René Collection was born from the desire to design a versatile and durable chair, suitable for any project in terms of scale, typology, and environment. By developing a comfortable and functional seat, the result was a stackable chair with a smooth shape and a continuous frame. While the starting point was the chair, its formal character extended to the rest of the collection, which includes a bench, a lounge chair, and two side tables of different sizes.

Versatile design for any space
For JDE Design Driven Consultancy, the goal was to propose a simple yet adaptable furniture line, capable of integrating into any type of space while maintaining the quality necessary for large-scale commercial projects. This vision led to the collaboration with Los Patrones.

Inspired by the flexibility of sports equipment, like a tennis racket, each piece in the collection evokes a sense of continuous movement, expressed through multiple backrest variations, smooth transitions, and curved contours that strike a subtle balance between aesthetics and functionality.

The influence of tennis culture is also reflected in the benches—with and without backrests—and side tables, which include a large storage space for bags and suitcases. The result is a contemporary collection that seamlessly integrates into both domestic and commercial settings, indoors and outdoors, such as lobbies or cafés.

Steel craftsmanship: achieving quality and elegance
For the René Collection, the creative duo carefully selected steel as the primary material. This choice enhances visual lightness, achieved through a tubular frame that precisely supports a grid-patterned seat and backrest, ensuring a perfect balance between strength and aesthetics.

To provide comfortable and durable support, the team developed a reticulated pattern, with meticulously welded pieces reinforcing the seat’s structure. Each component undergoes a bending and welding process, carefully supervised by Los Patrones, ensuring the collection’s signature durability.

Thanks to its versatility, the René Collection offers multiple finishing options: from grid seats—with or without cushions—to wooden or perforated metal surfaces. Additionally, the collection is available in a wide range of colors, a distinctive hallmark of Los Patrones, allowing each piece to be customized to the user's preference.
