With colourful light projections, interactive sculptures and technological installations, Sydney has been transformed in a massive and beautiful light show.
The Vivid Light Festival is part of Vivid Sydney, now its its fourth year. International artists are selected to realize artworks throughout the Australian city, using light and interactive technology.
Once again art embraces the sensorial power of light in the name of playful and surprising effects. Every day from 6:00 p.m. until midnight, animated light projections 'paint' ever-changing images and abstract movements of colour on the façades of buildings.
The free-to-attend spectacle of lights is accompanied by installations that assume aliveness in the dark. The artists involved have created pieces that make use of advanced technologies and ultra-modern materials, in a fertile union between art and digital media.
The Vivid Sydney festival runs until 11 June.
