Transparency meets sustainability with a no-waste exhibition set-up

  3. Hassell took to the cultural institution’s Ian Potter Centre to design a six-m-high installation iterating upon the Edmund Carter- and Simone LeAmon-conceived Design Wall from the inaugural edition of Melbourne Now, in 2013 - Courtesy of Hassell

  6. ‘We wanted the Wall to speak the same language as the products it would showcase – and so looked to systems that were already in production and fixings that could be purchased off-the-shelf,’ says Prue Pascoe, Hassell associate. - Courtesy of Hassell
  7. Galvanized scaffolding and sized display bays were rented, to limit waste from the event. - Courtesy of Hassell
  8. Ply sheets were fitted over the frame with proprietary brackets, so that the material would not need to be cut. - Courtesy of Hassell
  9. Finishes and fixtures were left raw and exposed and nothing was custom-made; now that the exhibition is over, all of the products will be re-homed or donated, redistributed or taken back to the manufacturer for on-sell. - Courtesy of Hassell
