This Helsinki exhibition remade the trade-fair stand into a site for relaxation

  1. Studio Plenty designed a mixed-use exhibition space for the Habitare trade fair in Helsinki, Finland - Eeva Suutari
  2. A gallery-like space with display pedestals of different sizes made with different materials showcased different design and craft products - Eeva Suutari
  3. he neutral space was contrasted by a red staircase that lead to a lofted, monochrome gallery space. - Eeva Suutari
  4. To the other side of the main gallery space, red and white striped volumes offer different breakout spaces that  encourage visitors to press pause and find respite from the surrounding bustling environment. - Eeva Suutari
  5. One room houses chairs surrounded by textile curtains that can be opened or closed for public or semi-private encounters or for rest from the environment. - Katri Kapanen
  6. In another, several long tables lined up consecutively showed everyday products like dishware, vases and more set the scene of a kitchen or dining room, intended to create a meeting space similar to those that we use everyday. - Eeva Suutari
  7. mostly enclosed room with silver mirrored walls and soft recessed light fixtures create the setting for a relaxing soundscape helps counterbalance the surrounding fair beyond the exhibition. - Katri Kapanen
