From water to energy, bathrooms are resource-intensive spaces, and frequent use means that features require consistent maintenance. These designs tackle the need for sustainability, durability and comfort in sanitary spaces.

NORI PIGMENT
Studio ByColor
Crafted with pigments from nori, the Nori Pigment tiles by Studio ByColor reflects a deconstruction of the seaweed’s distinctive black hue. Based in Omori, Tokyo – where the cultivation of the seaweed began – the studio harnessed the phycoerythrin, chlorophyll, phycocyanin and carotenoid in nori to produce the tile’s colouring.

TURA COLLECTION
Roca
A collaboration with Andreu Carulla, Roca’s Tura collection combines the play of light and shadow found in the Mediterranean with the simplicity and functionality of Barcelona’s architecture – an homage to the brand’s home city. The range uses recycled elements and sustainable technologies are incorporated within the toilet’s flushing system to save water.

THÉKÈ
Iris Ceramica
Ceramic floor and wall covering line Thékè achieves maximal layering and tactility thanks to Sinkcera, a state-of-the-art 3D technology that synchronizes structural layouts and digital graphics. Endlessly combinable, the Iris Ceramica surfaces reinterpret materials like stone, metal, wood and carpeting, giving chiaroscuro effects in the interiors they’re used in.

MARVEL MERAVIGLIA
Atlas Concorde
The visual and tactile characteristics of marble are represented with Velvetech, a patented finish developed by Atlas Concorde for its ceramic surfaces including the Marvel Meraviglia line. Graphic details, areas of varying opacity and different textures mimic the effect of real marble, both unpolished and polished.
