PwC's Düsseldorf HQ fosters community culture. Here's how
  1. Commissioned by Die Developer, the Eclipse campus offers 27,000 sq-m of office space – amounting to nearly 1,200 workplaces – over 16 storeys. - H.G. Esch
  2. UNStudio and HPP Architects’ concept centred on establishing a sense of transparency and connection with the city. - H.G. Esch
  3. The building sits on a two-storey podium and has a triangular floorplan; its 360° façade faces Düsseldorf’s Kennedydamm to the north and a neighbouring Hilton hotel to the south. - H.G. Esch
  4. A three-dimensional helix organizes the interior, with a series of atriums that connect different office programmes and spiral upwards towards a panoramic rooftop garden. - H.G. Esch
  5. This system of clustered spaces is visible from the outside, an alternative to traditional grid façades. - H.G. Esch
  6. Bolstering the individual workspaces with informal areas for collaboration and breakout zones for meetings and coffee breaks, the atria deliver on the designers’ ambition to ‘combine the rationality of office efficiency with a social surplus’. - H.G. Esch
  7. The more private offices provide workers with a generous amount of daylight and are flexible for various programmatic adaptations. - H.G. Esch
  8. In addition to the natural light allowance, artificial light and room ventilation control are facilitated by ‘smart engine technology’ – powered by 2,000 sensors – that collect real-time data from users and regulate the interiors. - H.G. Esch
