Keeping up with the rapidly evolving realm of technology can prove challenging, and knowing and understanding how to integrate it into your practice as a design professional isn’t something that always feels intuitive. Returning to the Fira de Barcelona Gran Vía from 4 to 7 February 2025, ISE, a leading annual tech show for the audiovisual and systems integration industry, is positioned to align design professionals with the latest technological advancements, their applications and the insights of industry leaders to make grasping the ever-changing landscape of technology more accessible. Interior design and architecture professionals will have the opportunity to experience the latest systems technologies in action, from AI-powered homes to the latest advancements in lighting, energy management and outdoor audiovisual.
A reflection of the industry’s ever-growing importance, the 2025 edition features an expanded show floor, including the new Innovation Park, and an extensive programme of future-facing content. Kicking off the four-day programme, the Smart Building Summit will take place on Tuesday 4 February. It will explore the digital transformation of buildings through discussions on best practices and real-world case studies that highlight successful implementations of these technologies. The Innovation Park will put leading startups and entrepreneurs with groundbreaking ideas at its centre, connecting their forward-thinking solutions to a community of design professionals. Residential-focused Tech Tours, offer real-life examples and hands-on experiences that seamlessly blend technology and design in the domestic environment.
Further emphasizing ISE’s focus on education, CEDIA, the trade association for smart home professionals, will deliver an insightful programme that delves into the intricacies of smart homes, with workshops and courses on AI, cybersecurity and other technologies. Additional smart home-focused programming such as the Smart Home Technology Conference, which runs throughout the show’s duration, explores themes like design and future integration trends. Opportunities to learn about such technology will also occur on the show’s floor at the Smart Home Technology Stage. Here, visitors can participate in dozens of free sessions, providing valuable insights and engaging discussions on topics at the intersection of technology, design and more.
Set in Barcelona, the event takes full advantage of its vibrant host location’s connection to design and architecture, with programming all over the city from projection mapping planned at Casa Batlló at the start of ISE to the BCN Llum festival at the end of the week.
