Pedrali’s new Park Associati-designed HQ centres the employee experience

BOOKMARK ARTICLE

Pedrali's recently inaugurated Park Associati-designed workspace ushers in a new chapter at its headquarters in Mornico Al Serio, Bergamo, Italy.

The launch of the Pedrali Collaborative Space, designed by Park Associati reflects the brand’s commitment to the wellbeing of its employees. Moving away from the rigidity of the traditional office, Park Associati leaned into Pedrali’s prioritization of community, collaboration and company culture, in a flexible setting that centres those who work there. This was made possible through the enlistment of Pedrali’s furniture collections; the space doubles as a living showroom and is a testament to the brand’s goal of creating environments that are highly functional and purposeful.

Pedrali contributed its expertise in workplace design, as a leading manufacturer of furniture and products for offices and more, to the creation of a dynamic and flexible workspace focused on the comfort of those who use these spaces every day. Various work areas are integrated throughout the 560-sq-m workspace with workstations, meeting areas and breakout rooms, designed to always match the task at hand.

Isotta Pendant Lamps.

Entering the workspace, a double-height space defined by its verticality and use of 25 Isotta pendant lamps by Basaglia Rota Nodari greets employees. Comfort and autonomy are ensured through 32 workstations making use of the Arki-Table Adjustable Desk, which can be separeted using sound-absorbing upholstered screens, and the Polar task chair, designed by Jorge Pensi Design Studio. Boxie, a storage system on castors by Claudio Dondoli and Marco Pocci, completes the space.

Arki-Table and Nym Soft Armchairs.

Three meeting rooms suit a variety of purposes, each delimited by glass walls that simultaneously ensure continuity and focus. Each of the three rooms features the free-standing, sound-absorbing Ypsilon Connect, designed by Jorge Pensi Design Studio, enabling employees to continually redefine their work environment. Each side of the panel can be modified with the addition of accessories such as whiteboards, shelves, coat hangers or a screen. Two of the three meeting rooms feature the Arki-Table and are surrounded by the Nym Soft armchairs, by CMP Design, and the Laja armchairs, designed by Alessandro Busana, in the first and second rooms, respectively. In the third meeting room, the Elinor low-back executive armchair collection by Claudio Bellini is placed around the Elinor table, further ensuring the space’s adaptability.

Buddyhub.

Breakout spaces have been appointed to provide space for relaxation and respite from the main work areas, complete with the endlessly modular Toa table by Robin Rizzini that can be made to any length and width. Surrounded by Nemea chairs by CMP Design, the space dually functions as a break or informal meeting space. A more intimate area is provided by an arrangement of Buddyhub, a functional and efficient furnishing element designed by Busetti Garuti Redaelli, and characterized by a wrap-around, sound-absorbing panel, available in two heights, that envelops the seat in a sort of enclosed niche. The soft lines and clean design of the Buddy coffee tables by Busetti Garuti Redaelli add the finishing touches to the space.

The flexible interior accommodates Pedrali’s goal of creating a workspace where its employees can come together and collaborate, paying mind to the wellbeing of its workers in every corner of the space. Bringing its collections to life, the space hosts the scenes of the Pedrali community’s everyday life.
