Visitors will find myriad commercial opportunities, moments for networking and insightful events with industry experts at this year’s upcoming edition of Cersaie, an international exhibition of ceramic tile and bathroom furnishings in Bologna.

Returning to BolognaFiere from 23 to 27 September 2024, Cersaie is a well-established destination for architects, interior designers, distributors, installers and contract design professionals seeking to discover innovative ceramic materials and bathroom products, and be at the forefront of trends. Marking its 41st edition this year, the event continues to build out its programme of cultural, educational and networking initiatives, complementing the commercial experience with enriching opportunities to build industry connections and knowledge.

At the heart of the fair will be The Square, a central 1,000-sq-m hub for events and meetings. Visitors can participate in Cersaie’s ‘Building, Dwelling, Thinking’ cultural programme here, among other activities. An exhibition organized by curator David Curatolo takes people through a journey of four decades of innovation in ceramic tiles and bathroom furnishings, reconceiving the traditional Bologna piazza as a place for interaction and engagement. Beyond that, The Square will host a design bookshop, booth for ADI (Industrial Design Association), live-broadcasting radio booth, visitor lounge and an informational desk from Confindustria Ceramica.

Bringing together 633 exhibitors, Cersaie 2023 attracted nearly 100,000 visitors from Italy and abroad.

Cersaie welcomes acclaimed architects to its stage each year; past editions have included 10 winners of the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize. Noted leaders set to bring their expertise to Building, Dwelling, Thinking at The Square this year include Belgian architect David Van Severen, French architect Rudy Ricciotti and Japanese architect Riken Yamamoto, the 2024 recipient of the Pritzker Prize. The ADI Ceramic&Bathroom Design Award – organized by ADI Emilia-Romagna – poses yet another chance to engage with design excellence at Cersaie, with the products and stands of all exhibiting companies eligible for recognition and prizes. The ceremony is planned for 25 September, at The Square.

In 2023, Cersaie had nearly 100,000 visitors from Italy and abroad, with 633 total exhibitors. The upcoming event upholds this community and momentum, driving further exploration of the interactions between architectural space, design and human beings through the perspective of ceramics and bathroom furnishings.
