PLANETA PIEL BARCELONA
Wanna
Primor Perfume launched its flagship store in Barcelona with an immersive retail experience (Multi-Brand Store, 4.61). Design studio Wanna, collaborating for the second time with the retailer, crafted a narrative around the world of cosmetics for the 1,250-sq-m store. The spatial identity of its Madrid location was adapted and evolved to fit the requirements of the new retail space. Comprised of three floors, the concept 'Planeta Piel' is reflected through a distinctive use of material, such as galvanized sheet metal and lava effect laminates. Alongside the spatial design, Wanna carried out trend analysis research and oversaw the digital creative direction, graphics and furniture design.

MCDONALD'S HONG KONG
M Moser Associates
The McDonald’s Hong Kong office has been transformed by M Moser Associates into a dynamic work environment reflecting the company's vision (Large Office, 5.58). The design concept for the 2,700-sq-m office revolves around brand touchpoints, technology and sustainable solutions. To enhance functionality and promote interaction throughout, the layout was reconfigured into an open plan with vibrant communal areas and flexible workspaces. Inspired by the iconic McDonald's golden arches, the design fuses brand identity into the interior with a bespoke staircase and arched ceilings.

AVA ARTS DISTRICT
Officeuntitled
AVA Arts District is a living and working space, hosting a wide range of creators and artists. Located on the eastern edge of Downtown Los Angeles, the project draws inspiration from the neighbourhood’s transformation from an industrial area to a creative hub (Material, 6.13). AVA Arts provides 475 units for either work or living purposes and a retail area on the ground floor. The interior design is based on the juxtaposition of natural and machined materials commonly found on buildings throughout the Los Angeles Arts District such as precast fluted concrete panels and cloverleaf perforated metal details. Murals made by local artists pay homage to the district’s history and creative character.

CARV STORE
Atma Inc.
Carv is a lifestyle and clothing store located in Tokyo’s Shibuya City, an area known for its shopping scene (Multi-Brand Store, 5.72). Atma Inc. explored various interpretations of the word curve – inspired by the store's name – and integrated them into the interior design. Combining distorted materials and products with mirrored and polished handmade finishes the designer visualized the idea of the curve into the space. Wire hanger racks and PVC cords are continually changing based on the movement of people and the weight of the products, creating poetic and playful details around the store.

RAINBOW BOX
Quantum Space
Spoon House is a multifunctional space located in Hefei, China, combining retail and hospitality spaces (Single-Brand Store, 5.55). Quantum Space created the ‘Rainbow Box’ concept for the design of the two-floor commercial space. Inspired by architectural icons such as Mies van der Rohe and Le Corbusier, the design fuses contemporary and historical cues. Hues of red, yellow and blue create strong contrasts throughout the space, while the coloured glass windows contribute a play of coloured light. The façade consists of a rectangular array of coloured of glass fibre-reinforced plastic in different shapes.
