Portuguese company MCM Stone Tailors guides clients in finding highly customized natural stone solutions for architectural and design projects.
MCM likens its 50-plus team of stone experts to tailors – a reference to the latter’s ability to interpret and design for individual needs. Established in 1982, the family company’s core value is finding fit-outs in natural stone and marble suited to the specifications of each space – and client. ‘The quality with which we approach each project marks our identity,’ CEO Jorge Leite explains.
This ethos is particularly resonant in today’s market – timeless materiality, hyper-customization and longstanding designer-supplier relationships are increasingly championed. MCM employs innovative equipment and emerging techniques to bolster the time-tested artisanal excellence built in over 40 years of operation. Each task in the manufacturing process is optimized for minimal resource and energy waste.

Clients have an expansive spread of colours, textures and finishes to choose from, uplifting individual creativity and expression.
A trip to Braga, Portugal will reveal the myriad possibilities in working with the brand – MCM’s headquarters spans 18,000 sq-m, with a large showroom presenting materials in a gallery format. Large storage capacity on site also means that the company is able to quickly respond to the evolving requirements of clients.
