April’s jury consists of a diverse collection of creatives spanning across different professions, expertise and geographies. The jury will vote and decide on this month’s top projects and products.
Ismael Abedin Ingelmo, founder and director of DXMID
Ismael Abedin Ingelmo is a designer and founder of DXMID. In addition to receiving industry recognition for his firm's work, Ismael shares his expertise and contributions to the design field as a juror, keynote speaker and participant in roundtable discussions across the world from China and India to Sri Lanka and Spain, and beyond. His work has been featured in various publications, such as 100 Design Portfolio, Beyond Black Books, Fifteen of Fifty, ISCES Scientific Journal and 50 Years.
Judy Dowle, associate design director at StudioXAG
As an associate design director at StudioXAG, Judy Dowle leads an award-winning team that pushes the boundaries of luxury retail. Her work includes global brands such as Christian Louboutin, Hermès, Montblanc and Karl Lagerfeld, focusing on the power of narrative using holistic brand vision to capture and amaze audiences. Since her degree in fashion design at Kingston School of Art, Judy has diversified her skillset across multidisciplinary fields spanning fashion, art direction and sculpture. She has worked within the creative studio team at Dunhill, elevating the label's foothold in the luxury sector, and has delivered high-impact creative solutions for the British retailers Browns and Selfridges. Judy curates stories and experiences that inspire, aiming to captivate audiences globally.
Tanya Suvannapong, design director at Gensler
An integral part of Gensler in Singapore and Bangkok offices, since 2016, Tanya Suvannapong is the lead of workplace design. Under her leadership, her Singapore-based team has gained recognition for its contributions to workplace innovation. Following projects with various international corporate clients, Tanya has developed her workplace design expertise. Tanya's emphasis on ensuring that design principles are accurately translated through the documentation and construction phases has earned her work awards and accolades.
Anne-Laure Pingreoun, founder of Alter-Projects, cultural strategist and curator
Anne-Laure Pingreoun is a cultural advisor, curator and founder of Alter-Projects, a creative studio that hosts ambitious artworks and nurtures collaborations that amplify creative reach. Alter-Projects’ bold vision, enables artists to take risks and create at scale, providing support during the conception, production and promotion stages. Challenging the status quo, the organization is committed to unique craft and site-specific work that celebrates the visionary artists of today. She's worked with a roster of clients from the likes of Diageo, Brookfield Properties, Grosvenor Estate, Allied London, NEOM and more.
Liz Gallagher, studio director at MAWD | March and White Design
Bringing 20 years of experience in hospitality and furniture, fixtures and equipment, and a list of prestigious clients, Liz Gallagher manages design teams, client relationships and project delivery across MAWD’s US studios. After graduating with an interior design degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, she spent several years focusing on food and beverage design, before moving to Asia where she became immersed in hotel and residential developments. While at MAWD, she has been involved in several large-scale residential developments including Coterie Cathedral Hill and 125 Greenwich. Currently the studio director, she takes a hands-on approach, working directly with manufacturers, owners and purchasing agents throughout the design process.
Ronnie Belizaire, studio practice leader and principal at HKSinc
With her multidisciplinary academic background, Ronnie Belizaire is a studio practice leader and principal at HKS. She holds an MBA from A&M University of Florida and an interior design master’s degree from Florida State University (FSU). She is the current lead of the commercial interiors practice in the firm’s Atlanta office, and her vast experience with design strategy, interior design, architecture and corporate real estate development provides a unique perspective in crafting into tailored solutions for clients. She is an active volunteer with several AEC associations and currently serves as the President of the International Board of Directors for the International Interior Design Association. She is a member of the advisory council for the Interior Architecture & Design Department within the College of Fine Arts at FSU and has also volunteered as a design consultant for Engineering Ministries International in Haiti.
Julia Chiaramonti, founder and artistic director of Julia Chiaramonti
Julia Chiaramonti is a designer born in Paris. After earning a degree in philosophy from La Sorbonne, she later pursued interior design studies at Camondo Interior Design School in Paris, before founding her eponymous design studio. Inspired by her Italian heritage and continuously informed by it, she creates objects characterized by clean lines and noble materials. Her work has been exhibited across Europe, at Maison&Objet, Nadia Candet's Private Choice, Salone del Mobile and EDIT Napoli, and has received international coverage from prominent design publications.
Yan Pan, co-founder and chief architect of SpActrum
Yan Pan is the co-founder and chief architect of SpActrum. He graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture UCL under the supervision of architect and professor Sir Peter Cook. After his studies, he began his career in London in 2003 and has worked in high-profile design firms, such as Fosters + Partners, KPF and RTKL before starting his practice. In 2012, Yan Pan and his partner Zhen Li founded the research-based architectural design firm SpActrum in London. They've since expanded to Beijing and Shanghai. In recent years, his work has been focused on interiors, hotel leisure, urban regeneration and cultural tourism.
Peter Pan, founder and CEO of Noa Galaxy
Peter Pan is the founder of Noa Galaxy Group, a design and lifestyle brand. Noa Galaxy operates Noa Hotel, an urban design hotel, Noa Retreat, a high-end resort and Deck, a café and bar. The group also runs D96 Studio, an international graphic design studio. Peter Pan previously served as a senior executive at Ctrip and Qunar, the largest online travel platform in China. As a hotel enthusiast, Peter Pan embraces rationality and logic, while also having a passion for art and design.
Huang Quan, chief designer at WJID
Considering the human body as an integral part of the space, Huang Quan is a designer exploring the spatial dynamics across the fields of art and technology. As chief designer at WJID, Huang pays special attention to emotions and is heavily informed by Eastern culture. WJID provides customers with diversified and innovative interior design services. The studio leads a project from concept creation to construction and has rich experience in large-scale project management.
Leendert Tange, creative partner at Storeage-Group
Leendert Tange is a cofounder of Storeage-Group, an agency designing spatial experiences for retail, hospitality and office. Storeage works across the European and American markets and has won numerous awards – most recently for its Adidas façade. He previously collaborated with the Nike team to help create the European Niketown experience. Additionally, he's worked with Converse, Timberland and boutique clients. He has been a lecturer at the Delft Faculty of Architecture, and he is a recurring visiting critic at the Pasadena Art Center.
Andrea Zickhardt, managing director at Holzer Kobler Architekturen
Formally trained as an architect, Andrea Zickhardt has held a key position within the management team at Holzer Kobler Architekturen since 2019, serving as the director of the firm's Berlin office. Bringing a wealth of knowledge in monument preservation and contextual building, Andrea has widened her experiences in a wide range of international offices. Beyond her administrative responsibilities, Andrea is passionate about sustainable planning, with a particular emphasis on timber structures. Her notable projects include the Li18 residential and commercial development in Berlin and the Erlebnis-Hus in St. Peter-Ording. Throughout her career, Andrea's primary focus has been on creating spaces that evoke emotion and inspiration, embodying her commitment to meaningful architecture.
Claude Saos, head of interior architecture and design at LISAA
Claude Saos has been the head of the Interior Architecture & Design Department at LISAA Strasbourg since 2019. Claude graduated from Beaux-arts of Quimper in France. His career in design education started in 2001, teaching interior architecture and design at various schools of applied art. Outside of the academic setting, he works as a curator and a designer, contributing contract furniture and event spaces. In 2013, he designed the first bicycle with a wooden frame in France, under the name WOOD.b. His work is exhibited in national and international galleries and is part of the permanent collection of the MUDAC in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Servaas Vehmeijer, partner and managing director at The Invisible Party
Servaas Vehmeijer is a creative entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in concept development, brand marketing and real estate development. In 2020 he joined The Invisible Party, a multi-disciplinary design studio based in Amsterdam, as a partner and managing director. The Invisible Party is a creative studio with expertise in spatial design and branding agency that translates ideas into story-based concepts.
Preeti Singh, brand director of India Design ID
With over two decades of experience in leadership roles across design events, magazines, media and the IT sector, Preeti Singh currently serves as brand director of India Design ID where she heads content, communications and marketing for the country’s biggest luxury design week. Her diverse educational background includes studies of English literature, Korean, philosophy, photography and design thinking. Her diverse background has led her to executive and managerial positions for large-scale design events, publishing houses and brands. Apart from her brand director role, she curates the ID Symposium, a thought platform, where over 50 Indian and internationally celebrated designers discuss the state of design.
