Every week, we highlight the FRAME Awards submissions that have received the most attention from our readers and jury. Below are the five most-viewed projects between 7 and 13 June.
Mireo Office
Brigada
Diversity, equality and freedom of thought are the driving factors in this workspace, inspired by seminal works of science fiction like Star Trek and The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (Large Office, Colour). The office design prioritizes the wellbeing and inspiration of the people who work there with different zones designed with different aesthetics. Lounge areas are designed to foster creativity, social interaction and playfulness, whereas the workspaces are centred on focus and comfort, with a cleaner, more open design.

Re-Folded House
McLeod Bovell
This project located on a floodplain in Canada was taken over by McLeod Bovell midway through construction, presenting an interesting challenge for the studio (House). To withstand the periodic flooding expected in the area, the designers opted for an exterior cladding of Accoya, a naturally treated pine developed for ground-water contact applications such as canal wall lining. The landscape design was integral to the build, taking into account the natural tendencies of the area’s flora. ‘Strikingly beautiful collection of form and material, says jury member Peter Meinders. ‘It oozes luxury, but also sustainability.’

Karakusa – The Rhythm of Lines
Hakuten + Nou
Drawing on the karakusa, or arabesque patterns that have been a motif of the Shiseido brand from its beginning, Karakusa – The Rhythm of Lines is a tribute to the lasting cultural and commercial impact of the Shiseido company. In a two-part project that includes a window display with an ever-changing kinetic installation evoking brushstrokes, and an indoor show. The indoor show has custom-designed furniture displaying heritage Shiseido products adorned with historical karakusa motifs, inviting visitors to engage with the brand’s legacy.

Feltech Pavilion 2025
NPDAStudio
NPDAStudio continues to advance its digital fabrication techniques with a design for Feltech, a producer of acoustic and thermal insulation panels (Trade-fair Stand). The Feltech panels used are made from recycled plastic bottles, which functions as both an acoustic and a thermal insulator. Designed for minimal waste, the steel structure of the stand is slated to be used as a greenhouse post-fair, and the panels used in the stand will be recycled into new insulation sheets.

Tuya Milano
Mihai Poescu Studio
The 10,000 hand-crafted glass icicles hanging above the seating area of this Milan eatery add a retro-yet-modern touch of extravagance to the venue (Restaurant). Located in a part of the city where Renaissance and Milanese modernity meet, the design takes a hint from the Italy of the ’50s and ’60s. The interior is maximalist in its use of material as well, packed with brass, marble, solid wood, glass and velvet with terrazzo floors.
