Hailing from all over the world, our March jurors have wide-ranging design experience and professions. We're proud to introduce them.

Alexis Vallégeas, cofounder of Aimko

Alexis Vallégeas is the cofounder of Aimko, a creative house for commerce and culture based in Paris. The team crafts singular events and architectures for progressive brands and organizations from all horizons, and programmes, designs and produces projects worldwide. Their clients have included Adidas, Cartier, Hennessy, Guerlain, Jacquemus and many more. 

Allison Rowe, head of design at Space10

Originally from the United States, Allison Rowe has over a decade of experience leading design, creative technology and innovation teams, developing products, services and businesses that transport us towards a more equitable and regenerative future. As head of design at Space10 in Copenhagen, Allison is responsible for the Research & Design practice, bridging the gap between imagination and action for concepts that create a better everyday life for people and the planet. She holds a master’s degree in global innovation design and a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering.

Anthony Monica, assistant professor of architecture at Belmont University

At the O’More College of Architecture and Design at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, architect Anthony Monica strives to create an engaging studio environment with a pedagogy grounded in inquiry and iteration. With an interest in architecture deeply rooted in place and culture, Anthony continues to reconsider the notions of process, tectonics, materiality, sustainability, and vernacular fabrication methodologies in contemporary practice. He has degrees from Virginia Tech and has led projects distinguished firms like SOM and KieranTimberlake.

Christopher Lynn Ortiz, project designer at VLK Architects

A resident of Austin, Texas, Christopher Lynn Ortiz is a project designer at VLK Architects, a firm headquartered in Fort Worth. He received a bachelor’s degree in environmental design from Texas A&M and a master’s in architecture from University of Texas at San Antonio. His portfolio includes retail environments for a mobility brand, stores for Starbucks and Whataburger, educational facilities, tenant fit-outs and more. 

Louise Braverman, founding principal of Louise Braverman Architect

Practicing locally in New York and globally, Louise Braverman is an award-winning American architect, whose highly focused firm is committed to building sustainable architecture of art and conscience. The challenge to merge aesthetic excellence with civic inclusion drives all of her work. A graduate of the Yale School of Architecture, she established her practice, Louise Braverman Architect, to design architecture that is situated in both its time and place.

Maija Kreishman, principal at the Michael Hsu Office of Architecture

Maija Kreishman, AIA, is Principal at Michael Hsu Office of Architecture (MHOA), where she has been a critical member of the firm since 2007. In addition to managing a broad range of architecture and interior projects, Kreishman oversees strategic visioning, studio culture, operations, marketing and business development.  Prioritizing experience, her design approach seeks to engage and connect the user to a space by prompting a response to interiors, materials and furnishings.

Marcos Aretio, founder and creative director of Markmus Design Studio

Product designer and Markmus Design Studio founder Marcos Aretio began his career working as art director in advertising and marketing agencies in Madrid, after attending IED Madrid. He moved to Nuremberg in 2010 and has since been working on interior and retail design projects for mainly European clients. Aretio has also developed retail, brand identity and brand design projects at the Adidas brand design department as a freelancer. In 2018 he became the head of brand design of Weareannu, a German eyewear brand.

Nicolas Hauvette, creative director and partner at Malherbe Paris

With an Ecole Boulle Space Design diploma, Nicolas Hauvette started his professional journey teaching drawing before joining Malherbe in 2001, where he is now partner. Hauvette has worked on numerous key projects for the agency in both the retail and mass-market sectors, for the likes of SKP, LVMH, Masan Group and more. Today, with vast experience in major developments, mixed-use projects, food retail and store design, he leads projects across Europe and Asia. 

Nils Wiberg, interaction designer at Gagarin

Nils Wiberg is a Swedish interaction designer based in Reykjavík, Iceland. With one master’s in cognitive science and another in human-computer interaction, he moved to Iceland to work as an interaction designer at Gagarin, making highly interactive exhibitions worldwide. Wiberg’s work focuses on bringing tangible computing to the realm of exhibition design, and he strives to poeticize the distance between man and technology.

Only Song, ISE development director at Arc’teryx China and Peak Performance at Amer Sports Shanghai Trading

As the ISE development director of Arc’teryx China, Only Song has more than 15 years of experience in retail space design. He’s proficient in both graphic and display design and once worked for Korean brands. During his decade with Arc’teryx, he successfully transformed from the person in charge of display to the in-store director, organically combining graphic design, window design, display design, space design and retail experience to create the current style of Arc'teryx in China. In 2022, he took over the design business of Peak Performance in China. 

Paul Clayton, principal at Clayton Korte 

Paul Clayton leads Clayton Korte’s Austin, Texas, office and has been responsible for the firm’s growth since 2005. In addition to being a skilled architect and designer in his own right, he grew a five-person architecture firm into an interdisciplinary design firm with offices in two cities, and a team of more than 35 full-time professionals. Having strengthened the firm’s core capability with a mix of hospitality, restaurant, retail, and other commercial work, Clayton expanded the firm’s offer to incorporate interior design and experience design. 

Richard Kylberg, CEO and head of customer success at Blink the Design Agency

Based in Stockholm, Richard Kylberg is an international retail design authority and frequent guest lecturer at leading design schools like New York Institute of Fashion. He is also the award-winning CEO and founder of Blink the Design Agency. Blink is world famous for creating benchmark concepts to clients across the globe like Scandinavian Airlines and Albert Heijn. Prior to starting Blink, he founded the digital agency Beedo, tech company Dobedo and retail charity Idyllien.

Sen Lin, design director of Gazer Design

As the founder of Hangzhou’s Gazer Design, Sen Lin has been engaged in interior design for more than 20 years. He has created a series of groundbreaking interior spaces, covering hotels, restaurants, showrooms, stores and more. These projects enjoy a good reputation in China and have won a number of awards. Meanwhile, he serves as the executive president of Hangzhou Designers Association (Jiangnan Society) and the consultant of Hangzhou Young Designers Association.

Shawn Sullivan, partner at Rockwell Group

Shawn Sullivan is a partner and studio leader at architecture and design firm Rockwell Group’s NYC office. Responsible for many of Rockwell Group’s most enduring projects over the last 25 years, Sullivan has deep experience in hotels, nightlife, restaurants, and residences, and has become a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, instrumental in developing iconic and enduring global brands. Current projects include Nobu Dubai and hotels worldwide, the first-ever TAO Hotel, a hospitality-forward reinvention of a Student Center for Johns Hopkins University and more.

Ziyu Zhuang, founder and principal architect of Buzz

Learning from Bernard Tschumi and Kenneth Frampton, Ziyu Zhuang was granted a master’s degree of architecture and urban design from Columbia University. He founded experience-led practice Buzz in 2016, which has studios in Berlin, Beijing and Shanghai. Its projects span urban design, municipal buildings, museums, hotels, resorts, theaters, stadium, and housing, as well as interior design and arts. Zhuang was also invited to be a visiting professor of Tianjin University School of Architecture between 2018-2019.
