Check out the 4 winning trade-fair stands from FRAME Awards x Orgatec

BOOKMARK ARTICLE

Trade-fair environments are often all-consuming, and it can be a challenge give a careful eye to each and every stand during the busy events. Luckily, we had a few pairs to spare for Orgatec, the work-furniture design fair in Cologne. The occasion was not only a platform for the third iteration of our think-tank The Next Space, but a special edition of FRAME Awards. We’re proud to present the winners, which were awarded yesterday in person.

On the jury for FRAME Awards x Orgatec was Tobias Geisler, cofounder of VAVE Studio, Susanne Neumann, director of customer relations at D’art Design, Jürgen Gaiser, managing partner at Blocher Partners, and Philipp Kirnbauer, director for project and design at Eurest. The team was tasked to identify the trade-fair stands displaying the best use of colour, light, material and the top stand overall.

Monica Pedrali, CEO of Pedrali – our brand sponsor for the event – explained that work furniture can help develop a new vision for work itself, revisioning the office as a creative, dynamic place flexible to an array of individual needs and styles. Trade-fair stands are important first steppingstone in seeing new innovations come to workplaces. Thinks Kirnbauer: ‘Simplicity, clarity of communication and context are an invitation to deep dive into the product portfolio [of brands].’ Below, we share those spaces that truly excelled in beckoning people in.

Trade-Fair Stand with the Best Use of Colour

DUM

Hall 10.1 | F41

DUM demonstrates how colour can help to elicit certain emotions and behaviours in the workplace.

Trade-Fair Stand with the Best Use of Light

Montis

Hall 10.2 | P060/N061

Using almost no raw materials, Montis uses photography studio equipment and lighting to showcase its products.

Trade-Fair Stand with Best Use of Material

Lintex

Hall 10.1 | E010

The stand uses no glue, screws or other adhesives and its raw materials are fully reusable. Signage adjacent to each product on display outlines its environmental impact, providing transparency for the consumer.

Best Overall Trade-Fair Stand

Prostoria

Hall 10.2 | L068

Simple materials create big impact at the Prostoria stand. The brand uses just metal wires and blocked colours giving a spatial illusion of mirrors.
