Maximizing light and visual connection between spaces indoors and out, ADL’s Levante doors by Massimo Luca balance privacy and transparency.

A Boffi | De Padova group brand based in Italy, ADL specializes in interior doors and walls crafted from glass and aluminium. Italian designer Massimo Luca – who conceived the label in 2004 – has developed its first door that can be used inside and out. The streamlined slatted Levante design is a natural choice for designers looking to create spaces with a sense of open circulation.

Filtering outdoor light and generating visual continuity, the Levante doors are composed of an aluminium frame and triangular slats inclined without the presence of any glass. The Minimal version sports thin slats, while Plus gives a bolder look with thicker lines. ADL’s full range of anodized coatings and varnishes can be selected for the product, and the interior door frames are also available in a real wood cladding.

When used externally, the entry- and exit-ways provide protection from the sun and wind. The perimeter frame employs 36 by 38-mm profiles and the free sliding system’s telescopic rails – with a special 4-mm-thick floor track – glide the doors open and closed with no effort.

ADL’s Levante line debunks the idea that privacy equates to totally closed-off spaces. Greater connectivity can make spatial experiences all the more engaging, at home or beyond.
