Alberto Puchetti has fused a table with a lightbulb to create Aerodrome.
‘Aerodrome is a family of lamps designed to adjust the mood of the room towards the smooth coolness typical of first class airport lounges,’ says Puchetti of ARBOIT, who collaborated Northern Lighting for the project.
Puchetti says he was inspired by the aerodynamic design of airplane engines, combined with 1960s Scandinavian trends (notably by designers Panton, Saarinen and Jacobsen).
When turned on, the lamp’s laser-cut top helps to project curved shadowy shapes onto walls and ceiling.
The design launched at the Stockholm Furniture & Lighting Fair and is showing until 29 February at Scandinavia Designs in São Paulo, Brazil.
