More than fifty fashion designers from around the world share their innovative visions at Rotterdam's Museum Boijmans van Beuningen. From established names to emerging talents, the latest generation of fashion designers is redefining the field in a multitude of ways. 'The Future of Fashion is Now' explores the area between fashion and art. Taking a critical approach towards the current fashion industry, the exhibitors explore themes like sustainability, futuristic technologies and the social value of clothes.
Clothing, accessories, videos and installations tell a story about materiality and experience, the (re)definition of the human figure, new values and fashion activism in four settings within the 1500m2 exhibition space.
The Future of Fashion is Now will be on show until 18 January 2015 at Museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam.
